The Veteran’s Monuments Park is a place of honor, remembrance, and healing — a space created to recognize the service and sacrifice of American Veterans and to ensure their stories are never forgotten.
Located in Cedaredge, Colorado, this dedicated park welcomes Veterans, families, and the community to pause, reflect, and pay tribute. Visitors will find a peaceful setting designed for quiet moments of gratitude, meaningful conversations, and shared remembrance.
The park has already become a gathering place for special moments, including Quilts of Valor presentations, memorial services, and personal tributes. Whether honoring a loved one, attending a ceremony, or simply spending time in reflection, this space offers comfort and connection for all who visit.
Built through the vision of the Support Our Soldiers Foundation and the extraordinary dedication of local craftsmen and volunteers, the park stands as a testament to what a community can accomplish when united by respect and gratitude. Skilled local builders poured not only their talent but their hearts into every detail, creating a lasting tribute that will serve generations to come.
As the landscape continues to grow and flourish, the park will only become more beautiful — a living memorial that reflects both remembrance and hope.
We invite you to visit, reflect, and honor those who served.
"From a single flag on a fence to an entire park of marble and memory, Cathy Meskel has turned a promise into permanence — a place where stories live, where sacrifice is honored, and where the words “welcome home” ring loud and clear."
"We have to honor our Veterans, we have to acknowledge them. This is my way of saying, now you have your own place to come."
The Park Process
These photos tell the story of how Veteran’s Monuments Park came to life. From the day the land was acquired, our amazing team Bill, Scotty, Steve, and Paul worked tirelessly to transform the space — removing debris and trash, clearing and grading the ground, repairing the existing fence, and carefully planning the park’s layout (special thanks to Bill for his design expertise).
Dedicated crews installed the 9/11 and POW-MIA flagpoles, spread rock throughout the grounds, and thoughtfully relocated the monuments from their former home at Pioneer Town. What began as a rough, unused parcel has been transformed through hard work, skill, and heartfelt dedication into the place of honor and remembrance visitors experience today.
